Churches and monasteries in Bucharest

ANTIM MONASTERY (monks)

 Antim Monastery was referred to by Saint Antim Hierarch, on February 5, 1713. Initially, this place existed since-before the wooden church, dedicated to St. Nicholas. Antim Monastery brick church was consecrated in 1715. The whole ensemble was designed the monastic hierarchy Georgian antique shop. Saint Anthimos himself worked on building the monastery in his hand coming out of the four holy icons: Alexis, Nicholas, antique shop and Clinging, and massive oak door, the entrance of the church.  Hermitage Davari

Patriarchal Cathedral, Bucharest

  Tower-Bell Tower was built in the year 1698, under the Holy Emperor Constantin Brancoveanu. Patriarchal Cathedral in Bucharest is hosting two monastic obsti. The painting was made by Dimitrie Belizarie, between the years 1932-1935, in Byzantine style. The right side of the narthex are the tombs of the Patriarchs Miron Cristea (1939), Nicodim Munteanu (1948), Justin Moisescu (1986) and Teoctist Florence (2007). On the left are the relics of Saint Dimitrie Basarabov arranged.

 Radu Voda Monastery

 

Radu Voda monastery was founded by Prince Alexandru II Mircea (1568-1577) and his lady Ecaterina, to thank God that gave them victory in battle who gave her those places against Valencia-and-Governor Governor Darling.
